This week, Nadal slipped to No. 5 in the latest ATP Rankings. At present he is in hometown to prepare for his next match.

Rafael Nadal said to the reporters that, “I am going to play after seven months in a professional tennis tournament. Since the motivation is big, I am very happy to participate back in the competition. I know that the first three tournaments are going to be difficult in terms of results but I am going to try everything. I will need a few weeks to see how things improve.”
